February 27

Today was the first morning I had to use fly spray around the stall.  It was warm.  A little too warm for February.  Diamond and I went for our usual morning walk but this time, before we returned to his stall, I used the hose and cooled down his legs and misted him all over.  Even soaked his hooves for 10 minutes.  Once we got back to the stall, I made sure to wet down the shavings and try my best to keep things cool for him.  He is shedding his winter coat like crazy but I'm sure he is still a bit warm and uncomfortable in the afternoons right now.  Hope it cools down before we go full blast into summer temps...
